Love is

Love is……

Love is physical,
Love is spiritual,
Love is a mixed feeling,
But u can feel that it’s real.

Love is so caring
Love is so touching
Love is so soothing,
You can feel no aching.

Love is passion
Love is true
Love makes you take actions,
To find the mate to your soul.

Love is about responsibility
Love is about respect
Love is eternity
It will last longer than you expect.

Sometimes, it hurts, I know. Then you’ll say:

Love is torture
Love is pain
Love is something,
That is not easily explained

But, then again:

Love can be fun,
Love can even heal,
Love is an expression,
That can keep u head over heels

Last but not least:

Love your family,
Love your parents
Love your siblings,
Love them like any other things

Thank you for loving me. I love u too.
Happy Mother’s Day, Mom.

Your Blog

Read a very sad post today. It's about loneliness. So, i took 3 minutes out from my morning schedule to write a poem, for he/she who felt the same. Loneliness, my friend, it's not the end of the world.

here goes,

Your Blog

It takes my heart away,
it takes my breathe away,
it forces my empathy,
I offer you my sympathy.

In This World

Nothing is perfect,
life's always a defect,
Keep your hopes up high,
Don't let your hearts die.

Your Life

It's going to be wonderful,
It's going to be beautiful,
But no one say it's going to be easy,
Just have faith in destiny.

Adopt-A-Rempit

Got this in my mailbox the other day. Thought it was read-worthy. Enjoy.....

A politician has suggested to his colleagues to adopt one illegal motorbike racer each, so these Mat Rempits can lead a better life. Now, before you guys shoot down this man's suggestion without so much as giving it a second thought, please let me go on record and say that I think this is a BRILLIANT idea. Who cares about adopting unwanted children and orphans? Those are out of fashion already. Nobody wants them anyway.

Let's all adopt illegal motorbike racers!

Who knows, if this works out well, next time those Hollywood A-listers like Madonna or Angelina Jolie wanna adopt another baby from impoverished countries, they can come to Malaysia. Heck, this can even be part of the Visit Malaysia Year 2007 campaign.

Just think about it. Which of the following would you rather adopt?

A) A sick, poor orphan from Cambodia?

B) A starving, HIV-positive orphan from Ethiopia?

C) Or that crazy lawless Mat Rempit from Malaysia?

Obviously, the obvious choice here is obvious. Right? Those Hollywood celebrities would be fighting with each other to adopt our illegal motorbike racers from Malaysia! Think about all the endless entertainment value they're gonna get out of them.

Don't be surprised if the next time you flip open a tabloid magazine, you get see this photo of a new member of the family added to the Angelina Jolie-Brad Pitt household.

I heard that soon, our politicians are gonna come up with an Adopt-An-AhLong campaign.

Can't wait.

**It's amazing how our GOV can think of these wonderful and SWEET ideas. I don't mind paying extra toll to fund their campaignsss......... NOT!!!

A Tale of Kopi and Baked Beans

Here's the scenario.

On the 2nd of Dec, we were having this charity shopping for the firm's Impact day. It's just another donation day for Mindy and I, but, apparently, it was special for someone. This time around, we got Angeline, Rafidah and Melissa to helped us. Shopping for groceries is a normal thing for me, but , after reading this article from Melissa, things will never be the same for me, ever again. Enjoy the show, the S&O show...

A Tale of Kopi and Baked Beans

(an S&O story by Melissa Tan)

2nd November was no ordinary day for me. Sure, it was a valuable rest-day. A day where I normally stay home, catch up on a book but most often, just veg-out in front of the DVD player. However, since I had just completed a project and was currently not fully-assigned, I felt I had some time to spare to help with shopping for and delivering food and items to one of the charities Deloitte Consulting SEA – Kuala Lumpur office has committed to supporting for a full year.
The day began at Tescos, The Curve and I was early enough to stop by an upmarket kopitiam to spend RM3 on a cuppa I could get for less than half the price at Bee Fatt. “It’s okay – the aircond justifies the price.”
Soon after, the others arrived and we proceeded to the Supermarket to load up on foodstuff and other items. We were shopping for 2 homes and each home had a RM500 budget. Time to apply the smidgeon of Home Economics knowledge I have…
Over at the canned food section, we were to pick up some Baked Beans. Heinz sprang to my mind immediately but the price, compared to other brands, just did not justify parting with any of our budget amount. So here’s a peek at my decision-making process, “Since we’re shopping for the homes, who need food to last them a while, we can go for the cheapest, e.g. Tesco Value, and buy lots and lots of cans of baked beans! It’s just food, after all, who cares about the brand?” As I squatted down to pick up the cheapest can of baked beans, another train of thought ran through my mind, “Sure, it’s just baked beans, but would I have bought Tesco Value brand for my own consumption? If not, why am I buying them for the homes?”
Thus at my unbecoming squat position, I vacillated between practicality and my conscience. For those waiting for a moral to this, wait no longer – I applied a 2 by 2 matrix to make a decision (see below; copyright application has been rejected):

* Criteria for determining level of quality:
  1. Strength of brand name
  2. Contents (e.g. low levels of additives, high content of beans as opposed to just water and permitted food colouring, etc.)
  3. Would I buy it for myself?

With this now-proven decision-making tool, the shopping was quickly done and we split up to go to one of the 2 homes. I went to Phyllis Caring Home.
Phyllis was, as usual, happy that we were there, even though we hadn’t given any notice and had dropped by unannounced, right smack in the middle of their lunch. But the oldies paid us impertinent youngsters no heed and continued slurping their soup. This actually gave us the golden opportunity to enquire after Phyllis’ health and get to know her better. Most visitors (I would have imagined) would go straight to spending time with the residents, thinking them the most deprived and loneliest in the home. But few, by Phyllis’ admission, have ever asked her how she started caring for the senior citizens. Not by choice but by circumstance, is the summary. And Phyllis made wonderful lemonade with the lemons thrown at her.
Since all good essays need a conclusion to score those extra marks, I will say that Saturday the 2nd of November 2006 allowed me to take stock of how I view “the less fortunate”. They may or may not be born into their circumstances but using the human spirit yardstick (which measures the amount of effort taken to improve one’s life), they’ve done a lot more than us “more fortunate” folks. We can help by definitely giving up some time to visit them and help them out with chores and activities but giving them some material things like good quality baked beans also count.

EP 4

1997 was the golden year for MIRC… things that we all do when we have time. And because of this, we learnt how to multitask, between the heck load of homework and tuition and some spare time to chat. I wasn’t much of a chatter back then, but I surf a lot. All my friends know the command in MIRC to secure your nick, bomb a chat room and also to meet girls. As you all know that my nick is always with a ‘pink’, guys would just pop out from no where and ask me:” A/S/L”… instead of responding to them, stating my age la… my sex la… and my location…. I just told them… I’m a guy. And basically, our conversation would just end there.

Then people discover the wonders of ICQ, where u can keep your contact.. in a local pc. It was immediately after that, we can hear the “oh oh!” sound all over the place. People playing starcraft in cybercafé is kinda annoyed by that sound and thought, “if u want to chat, go home la”

Enough tech talk. Back in school, nothing much new during the first month. Homework and tuition is pilling up by the minute and people always expect that the first class to be the most outstanding and discipline class in the batch. They were right for the “out-standing” part.. we got countless time of “standing-on-desk” incident. It was rather embarrassing, when u think that there’s juniors pointing and laughing at us. Their class is just opposite man…. Wanna find a hole and bury myself.

ever wonder why people around you can keep on telling you that SAME thing? About your studies, your duties, your lives… and yet we have no idea what is the future. Personally, I can’t imagine myself at the age of 40. maybe I will die before that happened. If yes, thank god. If not….. what will I look like, where will I live? What will I drive? And who will be with me at that time. Call me sissy, but I always think to myself that, if ONE of these days, if I ever going to find myself a girl, I will make her the luckiest girl on earth. (Eh, what can I do? I was 15 at that point ok. And my hometown is not as exciting as you think it is).

Anyway, I’m just glad that our school has started. Friends are all around me and entertainment is plentiful. Skyguy, Han Liang, Chern Wey and a few more of us has formed a study group way back in form 1 and we have decided to continue our effort in a new place. Skyguy’s uncle was an accountant. He’s got this very cool looking office, and he had offered us the meeting room for us to study during the weekends. We get to use the pantry to make our tea. Talk about pampered kids! Haha. Overall, I think it was cool how we spent our weekend together that year. I got hooked up with cassettes and walkman and was plugged in 24X7 like what I do now. It was also that year that I manage to persuade Han Liang to join my music clan. He’s still blaming me until now.

ENOUGH SAID

Never been so annoyed in my entire life.

They are building a new castle of our king. Reason being, the balai raya seri, which is something like the royal hall, claimed to be used for too many functions. Com’on!! I know many people in this country can do wonders with that kind of space. So why can’t the king do the same?

Why waste MYR 400 Million on such a thing? Why not use it to help those who really really need a house? Why can’t you use it to help the needies or even buff up the police squad to curb crimes? Why can’t you use the money to fix the f***ing MRR2 bridge, your black dumb ***.? And why the hell, do you used up so much space? What is wrong with the current castle? And where does the money come from?

This is the mentality that we all talk about. It’s about doing the things that you need to do, versus, doing things that you want to do. We heard people talk about the society gap. The rich are getting richer and the poor, poorer. On one side of KL, we have multi-crappy-media stupid corridor, and the other, some slump that they tried to hide with some really BIG billboards. Criminals looking for preys on the streets, ATM machines are being tugged of the banks, kidnapping cases, raping cases, and most recently, murder… What is all this? Is the government ever going to stop wasting money? Are we paying more for petrol so that some rich big bottom basket get to live in a bigger place? Are we paying our tax so that you can feed the fat ass cops? I don’t think so!!

If there’s something wrong with this country, it’s our country men’s mentality.

We all read about the coup in Thailand. How everything was under control and the shift of power was smooth although there were hiccups here and there. It went well without much violence because they respected their king. Even as a foreigner, I respected their king too. Judging from the amount of things that the king has put forward for his kingdom and the country, and the fact that he uses his own money to improve the living is some sub-urban areas. And because they respected their kings, they have HM shrines all over the place, nicely decorated. Even I paid respect to those shrines. Here, people worship their kings. And I think HM The King here can build his own palace, with his own money.

ENOUGH SAID.

Hinder - Lips Of An Angel

Never knew the existance of this song until this morning, when Rudy and JJ used the lyrics as a gotcha call... well, it's a song... that brings back some bitter and sweet memories... the story only my closest friends would know. anyhow, I enjoyed this song a lot.

Hinder - Lips Of An Angel

Honey why you calling me so late
It's kinda hard to talk right now
Honey why you crying
is everything okay
I gotta whisper cause I can't be too loud

Well, my girl's in the next room
Sometimes I wish she was you
I guess we never really moved on
It's really good to hear your voice saying my name
It sounds so sweet
Coming from the lips of an angel

Hearing those words it makes me weak
And I never wanna say goodbye
But girl you make it hard to be faithful
With the lips of an angel
It's funny that you're calling me tonight
And yes I dreamt of you too

And does he know you're talking to me
Will it start a fight
No I don't think she has a clue

Well my girl's in the next room
Sometimes I wish she was you
I guess we never really moved on
It's really good to hear your voice saying my name
It sounds so sweet
Coming from the lips of an angel

Hearing those words it makes me weak
And I never wanna say goodbye
But girl you make it hard to be faithful
With the lips of an angel

It's really good to hear your voice saying my name
It sounds so sweet
Coming from the lips of an angel
Hearing those words it makes me weak
And I never wanna say goodbye
But girl you make it hard to be faithful
With the lips of an angel
(And I never wanna say goodbye)
But girl you make it hard to be faithful
With the lips of an angel
Honey why you calling me so late

After a week of struggles, i'm still stuck with CM2006. Should have bought the game when i was in Low Yat with my gf. now.. all the names and numbers are playing with my eye.. did i just saw a few pictures of a fish with a face of a dog?

maybe it's the mermaids' pet.. (haha)

welcome to another episode of Pink's Percaya ke Tidak. Today's show is credited to Haryono, my pal from Indonesia for forwarding me this amazing pictures and discovery.

personally, i think the pictures are fake. But what the heck, it's a show that you can either "Believe it or not".. so up to you all la haa....

This fish erm.. dog... erm (seadog's name is taken) let's call him dog-fish.. is found somewhere in the west.. and man.. what's the mermaid doing here? so last time we have this big salted fish, now we got salted fish with hot-dog flavour.. what a world!!

Believe all u want.. another proof to show you, don't explore the universe before

welcome to another episode of Pink's Percaya ke Tidak. It's been a while since my last discovery of wierd wierd pelik pelik news.. until i come across a news paper. and then somebody forwarded me a mail..

we have mermaids!!

OMG, if you can see the pictures, i think you will stop eating salted fish for at least 1 month.

They found this in Teluk Bahang, and i think that lucky fisherman who found this is going to make a fortune from selling this big piece of salted fish.

Now that we all cannot stop imagining, are we the only inteligent species on this planet? is there such things as an under-world kingdom. and is there such things as a mermaid. for guys out there, sorry to disappoint you, mermaids are not as pretty as they say it is. and you might have a tough time kissing one, judging on the arrangements of their teeths.

right, yet another successful broadcast from me Pink, with Pink's Percaya ke Tidak.

Pls send in your findings to my mail, if you have any interesting sightings that you want to share. Before i sign off, i would like to say, Piece to the universe... ah, and the fishes..

Seether - Broken

I wanted you to know I love the way you laugh
I wanna hold you high and steal your pain away
I keep your photograph; I know it serves me well
I wanna hold you high and steal your pain

‘Cause I’m broken when I’m open
And I don’t feel like I am strong enough
‘Cause I’m broken when I’m lonesome
And I don’t feel light when you’re gone away

The worst is over now and we can breathe again
I wanna hold you high, you steal my pain away
There’s so much left to learn, and no one left to fight
I wanna hold you high and steal your pain

‘Cause I’m broken when I’m open
And I don’t feel like I am strong enough
‘Cause I’m broken when I’m lonesome
And I don’t feel right when you’re gone away
‘Cause I’m broken when I’m open
And I don’t feel like I am strong enough
‘Cause I’m broken when I’m lonesome
And I don’t feel light when you’re gone away

Schools are evaluated on some of the measures used in well-known rankings published by Shanghai Jiaotong University and the Times of London Higher Education Survey. Fifty percent of the score came from equal parts of three measures used by Shanghai Jiatong: the number of highly-cited researchers in various academic fields, the number of articles published in Nature and Science, and the number of articles listed in the ISI Social Sciences and Arts & Humanities indices. Another 40 percent of the score came from equal parts of four measures used by the Times: the percentage of international faculty, the percentage of international students, citations per faculty member (using ISI data), and the ratio of faculty to students. The final 10 percent came from library holdings (number of volumes).

Snow Patrol - RUN

I'll sing it one last time for you
Then we really have to go
You've been the only thing that's right
In all I've done

And I can barely look at you
But every single time I do
I know we'll make it anywhere
Anyway from here

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

Louder louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say

To think I might not see those eyes
Makes it so hard not to cry
And as we say our long goodbyeI nearly do

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

Slower slower
We don't have time for that
I just want to find an easier way
To get out of our little heads

Have heart my dear
We're bound to be afraid
Even if it's just for a few days
Making up for all this mess
