Speechless

I am speechless, I am sad, and i am depressed

One site of earth, we are trying to uncover some holy truth, and the other side of the world, we have this.

Many would blame the religion. but i don't. I don't want to get myself burn, not yet at least. Instead, i would wanna blame the people that misinterpreting their believes and abusing their holy books, because they thought, this is the msg from god. (Allah, you better sms them soon.)

In there's any god, or human beings can bear with such sad sight? Is he happy to see this? If they can do this to a kid, what would they do when they are allowed to play with nukes?

God would never ask us to hurt anyone. and God wants us to live in perfect harmony. with OTHER RELIGION. God would want us to use religion as a guide, not strict rules. In this case, i think God would want us just to forget about them. Bring on the ARK!!

There are parts of each religion that need to be questioned . I think all that boils down to lopsided and sometimes questionable manmade intrepetations of gods actual word.

I doubt that god would want his people to suffer the way that kid did. Same goes with the many many other atrocities that mankind has made others endure in the name of god.

Religion has been used as a political tool for as long as religion has been around. Only god knows if even half of them are actually true or man-made.

There is a way out that many are not aware of. The same way some "smart" people used their brains to twist gods word to their benefit, we must now be able to use our brains to undo the harm that they have caused.

The unfortunate part is that many are not willing to embrace the changes that must be made, eventhough its againt their better judgement.

What causes this? Insecurity towards what they believe in? The social redicule? Just total apathy and the refusal to actually use their brains to figure out for sure what is logical and what is not?

We, the people who see this as a problem need to attempt to change this. Im sure god will be on our side.

Hmm.. religion. Very touchy subject :D I prefer to think of it as a way of life and in certain religion, certainly not a choice of life. This is similar to the purported unsterile "circumcision" of woman in certain African tribes that basically serves no purpose and other funny 'rules' many religions have.

So, it really depends on how you view it. Yes, looking at the picture it's totally inhumane. But to others it's seen as something necessary. It's taught to them that this is their way of life and so strongly instilled since decades ago that even they confuse it as upholding their religion. How do you then tell them that's something they should review?? It's easy to judge really, but we're all brought up differently.

We are in fact very lucky that Malaysia was made a country where we have a great amount of tolerance for other religion. I don't think it's purely base on luck, I'm sure our forefathers were forced to adopt such a thinking in order to survive and having a great leader like Tunku Abdul Rahman really made a HUGE amount of difference. We, being the new generation have since then adopted this behavior since birth that we sometimes can never understand when other people in other parts of the world don't act the same. Just to share, my sister and her Malay friend were happily chatting in a cab they shared in Dubai. And when the cab dropped my sister off first, the cab driver curiously asked her Malay friend why was she friends with a non-Muslim? He wasn’t being rude really but he was so curious because it doesn’t happen over there. Ahh..the simple things that we take for granted ;)

So, instead of getting upset, I say let's be thankful and hope that someday these countries will also be blessed with a great leaders to help them to eventually shape a different mindset. :)
