Involved or committed?

Which one are you? Are you involved in a relationship, or you are committed to it?

Read about a story once, and I would like to share with you all.

When you see a couple going out, what do you think about them? Are they committed? Maybe they are just involved in the relationship. They like to do something together. They are in love.

Love can be simple when you are merely involved. Doing things together is fun. Movies, dinner, shopping and even clubbing sounds fun.

But when your relationship grows old, there will be a lot of stuff to think about. Some would claim that it’s a bit “ma fan” or tedious. There are so many things for you to think. What do you see in the relationship in another 2 years or 5 years time? You may also starting to count how long have you two been together. But to me, you are just involved in the relationship.

One fine day, when the church-bell sound, when you exchange vow, and your “Tiffany” rings. That’s commitment.

There’s a funny saying. A relationship can be represented by a plate bacons and eggs. In that plate, the chicken is only involved. (Laying an egg is not as hard as you think). But the pig is committed. May your relationship ends with a pig marriage.
